Longridge "The Emily" Chardonnay

Tasting Notes

Being that Chardonnay and Pinot Noir play so well together in Champagne and other sparkling wines, it seems odd that we don't see this blend together more often for still wines. The Emily is a slightly pink, classical blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, described by the winemaker as "oel de perdix" - the eye of the partridge. A fresh wine, bursting with aromas of ripe guava, pineapple, kiwi, fresh citrus and kumquat preserve, green apple and ending with a well-balanced acidity and a lingering finish.
