Jeff Runquist Wines 2023 "Z" Zinfandel

Sourced from the historic Massoni Ranch in the Shenandoah Valley of Amador County, the "Z" is a refined expression of high-elevation Zinfandel. It presents a deep ruby-purple hue with a bouquet dominated by black raspberry, boysenberry, and dark cherry, accented by secondary notes of hazelnut and sandalwood from small-barrel aging. The palate is characterized by a creamy, luscious texture and a satisfying viscosity that avoids harsh tannins, finishing with lingering flavors of red currant and toasted oak.
