On the nose, it opens with aromatic layers of star anise, cinnamon stick, and oregano oil, which lead into a palate rich with unsweetened chilled cherry galette, raspberry preserve, and woodsy boysenberry. The wine’s structure is supported by supple tannins and a balanced acidity, making it both elegant and approachable. Crafted from 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot, and 2% Malbec, it reflects the cool, extended growing season of 2023, which allowed for gradual ripening and nuanced flavor development.
