Last time, we preferred their Central Coast (dark label) offering, but this year it is their Monterey bottling (white label) that really impressed us. Bright but concentrated aromas of strawberry cream, singed sage and crushed rock kick off the nose. The palate is satisfyingly rich with baked cherry and pecan pie flavors, yet tense in texture and zippy in acidity.
